RESPONSIBLE PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY
In our purchasing practices, we invest in high-quality products and those partners that respect environmental values. The wholesalers we use are committed to environmental friendliness in their sustainability strategies. For wholesale orders, we prefer domestic because of the quality, but also because of environmental friendliness and to avoid long transport distances.
In our purchases, we choose products produced nearby that are more resistant to nature’s carrying capacity. We also buy responsibly collected local berries and mushrooms, as well as local fish. The service providers used by the company are local. Our café-restaurant sells products from several local producers. Local products are regularly supplied to us, for example by Oatbakery- Kakra. Other local products for sale include sweets, beers, honey preparations, herbs and spices, and various handicrafts.
Quality and durable products are used in the renovation and maintenance of the company’s property, and, if possible, building materials produced nearby. Local professionals who invest in quality are used as suppliers. Properly done work saves on environmental impact both in the procurement of raw materials and in the production of waste.
RESPONSIBLE FOOD
Our company invests in special diets and the growing demand for vegetarian food. We offer daily vegetarian option at lunch. Milk-free is also available daily in the lunch options alternative. We prepare all foods containing dairy products from lactose-free products. Most of the rations and lunch dishes we offer are gluten-free. It is also possible to choose a gluten-free and vegan option in the fast food we sell.
Our cafe line offers several gluten-free products as an alternative. Vegetarians are considered in our line of products, and vegan products are also available. We listen to the customers’ special wishes regarding different allergens, and we prepare portions according to their wishes.
In our lunch menu, we focus on attractive, rich salad tables and high-quality warm vegetables. In this way, we create an opportunity for customers to choose their portions more vegetables and less consumption of meat products. Our daily lunch option contains vegetarian food, either in the main dishes, soup or as a portion option. We avoid endangered species.

Our company supports local entrepreneurs in the nature of the area in accordance with sustainable development, in the development and sale of products and services based on history and culture. We offer internships to local students and several of our interns have also employed us as employees.

If we see situations of abuse or harassment in the customer base, we will intervene according to the instructions. We welcome all kinds of customer groups. We have invested especially in children, and we have barrier-free facilities. Our staff also serves customers in English.
We comply with the collective agreement of the tourism and restaurant industry. Our employees have a safe work environment, their rights are respected, and our work atmosphere has received a lot of praise. We encourage our employees to learn new things and gain experience in new areas. We train our staff regularly.
ENERGY, WATER AND CLIMATE
We have reduced energy consumption with timed air conditioning and by keeping energy-consuming devices on only for the necessary time. It is our practice to turn on energy-saving devices when using them starts to wear out the grills. The air conditioning works on a schedule and is not good when turned on at night.
We have economical water points in suitable toilets. Our practice is to wash only fully machined items with a washing machine and washing machine.
