Fishing permits from King's Gate to Tainiovirra

FISHING BAN UNTIL 30.11.2025

The fishing area is about seven kilometres long. It is divided into six different fishing areas, as there are a few protected areas on the river where fishing is prohibited.
The Tainion Stream is a calm stream of type that runs through a varied landscape. Each of the six fishing areas has a confluence or rapids that provide good opportunities for fishing in flowing water. The river is of medium size, ranging in width from about 10 to 40 metres.

Natural stocks: lake trout, pike, perch, made.
Igutted stocks: lake trout, grayling, rainbow trout
A restoration plan has been drawn up for the stream. The main catch and fishery is concentrated on trout.

Fishing can be carried out with both trolling and fly-fishing gear. Both are very suitable for fishing. When the water is low in mid-summer, fly fishing, especially surface fishing, is probably the most productive. The fishing season is April to August.
